Slide-on camper FREE FITTING SERVICE
Fitting by our experienced technicians, including parts, is FREE (over $700 value) with the purchase of a slide-on camper from our range.
Fitting and electrical works take around 4 to 6 hours, dependant on the vehicle and requirements. As part of our service, we can drop you off anywhere locally to pass the time, or you are welcome to relax in our showroom. Just prior to completion of fitting your slide-on camper, if you are still local, we will pick you up to bring you back to our workshop. We will then run through the camper and instruction booklets with you and answer any questions you may have.

FITTING a slide-on camper to YOUR vehicle

STEP 1
To fit your slide-on camper, we will place timbers on the tray so the tray is completely level (allowing for the side lips on the tray) and align to the most suitable position.

STEP 2
We bolt four steel brackets secured to the camper frame or alternatively, we may use points on the jack mounting brackets if more suitable.

STEP 3
The brackets are positioned to align with suitable anchor points on your vehicle.

STEP 4
The fitting kit (preselected by you) is attached to the camper – you have a choice between standard stainless steel turnbuckles (chain and shackles) or Torklift quick release handles.
ELECTRICAL fittings to a slide-on camper

STEP 1
In order for your vehicle to provide 12 volt power to the camper and to charge the camper battery via the DCDC charger, the appropriate plug is wired into your vehicle and fitted to the rear of your cabin.

STEP 2
The plug component is installed on the passenger side of the camper as circled in the image above.

STEP 3
The connection installed in STEP 1 will also power the slide-on camper's clearance lights and any other lights required – we will check they are all functioning correctly.

STEP 4
In newer models the DCDC charger will act as an isolator, however for older models purchased second hand. we recommend having a battery isolator fitted close to your vehicle battery to avoid it being flattened. If you flatten your camper battery, then power will be drawn from your vehicle starter battery and in turn, will flatten the battery. To avoid this scenario, you can simply unplug the camper from your vehicle or fit a battery isolator.

STEP 5
The wiring is part of our fitting service. Alternatively, you can fit it yourself (or make your own arrangements to have it installed).
